CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver, made up of pure silver and copper, requires proper care and maintenance to keep it looking fresh and bright. It can tarnish from harsh chemicals, salty air, and perfumes.
To ensure the longevity of your sterling silver jewellery, we recommend following these care tips:
  • Remove sterling silver when using chemicals for cleaning or performing household chores
  • Avoid wearing your jewellery when swimming in pools, oceans, hot springs, or hot tubs
  • To brighten, polish using a polishing cloth
  • To clean tarnished silver, wash your items in warm soapy water, soak in a solution of 1/2 cup vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda for an hour, rinse thoroughly and polish with a polishing cloth.
By following these simple steps, you can keep your sterling silver jewellery looking shiny and new for years to come.

Gold

It's important to note that the higher the gold content, the softer your gold jewellery will be. To avoid scratches, remove your pieces before engaging in vigorous physical activities. However, some scratches and character are normal with everyday wear of gold jewellery. Following these tips will help you keep your gold jewellery looking clean and bright:
  • Mix dish soap (such as Blue Dawn) and water, and soak your piece for 10-15 minutes
  • Use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub away dirt from hard-to-reach areas
  • Wipe your jewellery dry with a polishing cloth
